The study group is not a coven. We are friends who walk similar paths. We commune and support one another in our own personal walks of life. The important thing to remember is in Wicca, we are all perpetual students. Always learning, growing, and teaching. The group leaders are not 'teachers' in the literal sense. We initiate conversation and keep the class flowing toward a common goal. Everyone in the class becomes a student and a teacher.
The class is not about spells, witchcraft, or hexing. There is the barest of touch on the subjects and that is that. We do not pass around spells or do circles together. We learn, period. Outside of class, what you and any friends made in the class trade is between you. We try to keep a comfort level so that those who are just dipping their toes in, aren't frightened away. Our ultimate goal is to put the knowledge out there and hopefully, give someone who is lost a little better footing.
We begin with a brief History of Wicca and continue through, in small steps, until you may feel comfortatble doing the dedication ritual at the end of the course. You won't be forced to do so, but are welcome to observe others, as they dedicate themselves to their own path.
There are a total of 10 class meetings, 9 class days. The 10th day will be handing out certificates and if you wish to join the Dedication. You will not be dedicating anything to us, or our group! You will be dedicating yourself to your path.
If you would like more information, see the contact us page! We will be glad to answer any questions and send you a registration form if you wish to join the class.
